heartofbakerst: (concern)

John was just happy to be out of the flat for a while and doing something productive. It wasn't bad, and he'd taken quite a few notes himself about the crime scene and things that the staff had said about the victim's behaviour in the days leading up to their death. He couldn't quite make any connection between these men and the scared man they'd initially been contacted about. Even if John had missed it, Sherlock obviously had seen something suspect in their initial investigation, because he's made a bit of a mess on their kitchen table when they arrived back at the flat. John knew better than to get involved right away, and while he set things up, typed out his notes on his laptop.

Soon enough, Sherlock called him over to look at something. It took him a moment to even figure out what he was looking at, but he squinted and once he recognised the part of the anatomy, he began trying to find the photographs of the other angles. "You've noticed something," he said plainly, pulling up a couple of photos and looking at them more closely. "Something... I'm obviously not seeing. Everything looks about in order here."
